"WHAT WE CHERISH IN OUR HEARTS"

The call is for all of us, hearing and deaf alike, to dedicate ourselves once more to our deaf countrymen, to share in shaping up a foundation that shall be solid, continuing and strong enough to give the deaf the acceptance and recognition they so deserved, not only as equal members of the community but a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines with equal rights, dignity and sense of self-confidence.

            Let us therefore give the deaf a new reach, a new hope extending our concern and let them feel that they, too, were born equal before God as well as in dignity before men. More than ever what we have also hoped for through the years is for the hearing to always extend their love and concern to the deaf.

            For in doing so, the deaf will also continue to appreciate and love the hearing in return a kind of relationship that know no boundary, no prejudice, nor discrimination, a feeling bound together in love, brotherhood and human compassion.

          Truly, this is what we have cherished in our hearts!
