A NEW SCHOOL FOR A NEW SCHOOL YEAR

After the warmest summer in Philippine history, the students of DEAF Inc. together with hte teachers and staff trooped back to their classrooms Last June 14. Students and teachers alike were excited to return to the cool comfort of the mountain-top school. But it was not only the cool breeze and the fresh air that excited everyone. In school so many new things awaited them this year.

For starters there is an ongoing contruction of a new boys' dorm that will additionally accommodate about 60 students. Through the grace of God the funding for this construction came from Lamoiyan Corporation which incidentally also donated a new six-wheel truck that the school uses for transporatation from the lowlands.

Early this year the school also got a building needed make-over of the different buildings and school ground. fiity 5 gallon buckets of paint were donated by Boysen Paints for this project.

The school's agricultural projects also generate quite a stir. With the successful planting and harvesting of crops, there are fruits and vegetables enjoyed by everyone. Not to mention the fish, poultry and meat.

Of course there is still a lot that needs to be done but for now the students and everyone else have many things to smile about.

2005 GRADUATES:
SUCCESS IN JOB HUNTING

Many people agree that the worst part of graduating is landing a good job. Philippine statistics alone show that only 15% of all graduates each year finds jobs. Sometimes these jobs do not even relate to the graduates' majors. Through the Lord's faithful hand however this is not the case for most of the 16 who graduated from Our School this year.

While the rest of the year's graduates are still scampering for job

vacancies that are very few and far in between, our very own are already safely placed in schools and companies of their choice.

The success of our recent graduates prompts us to remember the promise of God to seek him first and all things shall be added unto us. Let this wonderful news of God's faithfulness provide hope to everyone.
