LOCAL SUMMER CAMP FOR THE DEAF 2008 April 14-18, 2008

THE DEAF CAMP

This Local Summer Camp for the Deaf is a gathering of deaf people throughout the Philippines. It is held once in two years. The participants belong to different churches for the Deaf. New believer who would like to receive the salvation and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ are also welcome.

It is open to all ages, male or female, deaf or hearing friends of the deaf. Participants, especially minors are required to have prior approval from their parents or guardian by using the attached Permission slip.

The activities are Bible class, Bible Quiz, Chapel Services, fellowship, water baptism, fun & games, contest, film showing, picnic, seminar/workshop, drama and acting, handicraft making, and meeting new friends.

DEAF CAMP OBJECTIVES:

General:

To let the deaf brethren realize that there is only one hope for salvation and freedom-by letting them know more about Jesus Christ.

Specific:

. To bring the deaf people to the fold of Christian faith.

. To strenghen the deaf to become effective witnesses for Christ.

. To encourage cooperation and unity among the deaf.

. To provide a venue for fellowship and get-together.

. To learn more about Christian values.

. To educate them in becoming responsible Christians.

. To develop their spiritual, social, moral and physical well being through involvement in varios activities prepared for the Deaf Camp.

WHAT TO BRING:

REGISTRATION COST:

Registration Fee P1,125.00

(Registration fee includes meals & accommndation)

You will shoulder your own fare to and from the campsite. Manila to Baguio bus fare (one-way) is P256 (20% discounted if you have Transportaion I.D.)
