Basic Guiselines
A. ATTENDANCE
- CLASS SCHEDULE:
- ABSENCES a. Every student is expected to attend class regularly and punctually.
- he is sick and taken to the clinic for check-up or treatment
- he has a letter fro his parent stating a valid reason and is approved by the school director
- he is fetched by his/her parent or a parent substitute but with an authorization letter from the parent.
- TARDINESS is strongly discouraged.
- SUSPENSION OF CLASSES Classes for the HID (all levels) are automatically suspended in case of Typhoon Signal No. 2. Classes in the preaparatory level unti Grade II are suspended in case of Typhoon Signal No. 1. For strong monsoon rains, parental discretion is advised
Elementary Level: (Grades I-II) 8:30 am to 11:40 am (Grades III-IV) 8:30 am to 3:40 pm High School Level: 8:30 am to 3:40 pm
b. A student who absents himself from class should present an excuse letter duly signed by parent/guardian.
c. In case of long absences, prior notice should be given to the office
d. Students who have been absent in excess of the allowed 20% of the total number of schooldays during the year shall be dropped as per DepEd regulation.
e. A student may not leave the classroom during class hours unless:
B. UNIFORM
Mondays - Thursdays: BOYS: black pants; white polo with SLRI patch, black shoes and white socks GIRLS: blue skirt, white polo with blue necktie, white socks and black shoes.
Fridays: blue jogging pants, SLRI t-shirt
C. NORMS OF CONDUCT
- Students are discouraged from bringing gadgets, toys, magazines, etc.. not intended for school use. The school assumes no responsibility for lost articles.
- All students take lunch in the eating area. They may bring their own packed lunch and meriendas or purchase it from the canteen. Students are not allowed to leave the school the canteen. Students are not allowed to leave the school campus during recess or lunch break.
- Students are expected to be more responsible for the things that they need to bring in school. Only food and medicine may be accepted at the office.
- Students are required to show respect for the school property by keeping all the areas of the school clean and orderly. Lost or broken articles should be replaced or fixed immediately by the students concerned.
- The faculty room is solely for the use of the faculty, therefore no student or parent may enter unless during conferences.
- Official announcements are given in the form of parent bulletins/ memos/letters duly approved by the school director. Return/reply slips (if any) should be brought back to school the following day.
- Violation/incident reports are sent to parents to inform them of offenses or any untoward incidednts that occur in the classroom conerning their child. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled as the need arises.
- Complaints/ grievances should be aired to and through the proper channels. All matters pertaining to the school or related to the student/teacher should be referred to the office.
D. DISCIPLINARY SYSTEM
- The Disciplinary Board is composed of the executive director, the principal, the HID coordinator and the adviser.
- Disciplinary Sanctions:
- A. Warning: a student who commits a mistake for the first time is made to realize the greviousness of the offense. This is done through a conference with the student. A violation report is filed at the Guidance office and a copy is sent to the parent.
- B. Conference: Parents or guardians are calledon the 2nd offense and an agreement is reached regarding the corrective measures to be undertaken.
- C. Suspension: Parent/ guardians are informed of repeated offenses before the pupil is barred from attending classes. No make up lessons are given.
- D. Probation: A student will be given a conduct grade of NI or NSA and if he does not improve before the finals, he may not be accepted for the next schoolyear.
