DepEd Secretary Jesli Lapuz visited the national office on January 18, 2007. NFCPWD presented the plans on how to mobilize the Php90-million contact awarded to the Federation. Aside from the school chair project, the Federation also presented its other projects. After the meeting, Secretary Lapuz visited the nearby office and workshop of SIKAP, a member-cooperative. During the secretary's visit, NFCPWD was interviewed over the radio. The Federation took this opportunity to share its mandate and promote its products and services to the genreal public.
Three CBM officers, Mr. Mathias Spaeth, CBM Vice President, Mr. Rolf Mueggenburg, Continental Director of Asia and Mr. Mike Davies, Regional Director, CBM South-East Asia and Pacific visited the national office on the last quarter of 2006. The three officers asked for more clarification on the Federation's operation and its internal controls and measures in mobilizing its resources to ensure that the loan will go to its intended purpose. The visit facilitated the approval of the Php60-Million loan from CBM for the financing of the 2005 DepEd contract.
