SAFRA ADAPMPC was registered in the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) on October 21, 1999 with registration number CARA 0635 duly organized and managed by PWDs with 15 members. It main Business is school chair production, however, some of our members is also engaged in other forms of family-based livelihood projects.

To date, our total membership is composed of 22, five are women and the rest are men, ranging from 22-50 years old. We are a non-sectarian group.

Serving as our highest policy-making body in between the yearly assemblies, our Board of Directors (BOD) is composed of five members. This body holds a regular monthly meeting but also conducts especial meetings whenever needed.

In terms of formal schooling, our level of attainment varied. Five finished the elementary grades, 10 finished high school and some are college levels/graduates and the rest are no schooling at all.

Some of our members were sick of polio during our childhood while others met accidents in later life so that many are in wheelchairs. In between other task, we are also engaged in recreational activities like playing basketball, dart and chess. Some went through the difficult stage of accepting our physical disabilities. Sharing more or less the same problems, our togetherness is highly therapeutic.

Through our collective work, the Municipal and provincial government units have started to recognized us and quite supportive to us. With our efforts and consistently saving from our income, we are able to sustain a reserved fund in the bank. This serves as our revolving capital when our members put up their livelihood projects in between our chair making.

The objectives of our cooperatives are as follows: (1) To encourage thrift and saving mobilization among members; (2) To create funds in order to grant loans for productive and providential purposes to its members; (3) To provide goods and services and other requirements to the members; (4) To undertake agricultural and/or industrial production purposes; (5) To engage in the supply of production inputs to members/non-members and market their products; (6) To engage in lending and livelihood projects (7) To do any related activity for the members self government, improve social and/or economic well-being under truly just democratic society
